Our client is looking for a Survey Technician for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

We are looking for a Senior Onshore Survey Technician to join our Survey and Robotics team. You will be a key technical resource in our Service Centre, responsible for working alongside the other senior technicians to help ensure the smooth running of the workshop and providing technical support to our clients. You will also be involved in the development of new products and services and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology. Our client is looking for a Survey Technician for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Onshore Survey Technician to join our Survey and Robotics team. You will be a key technical resource in our Service Centre, responsible for working alongside the other senior technicians to help ensure the smooth running of the workshop and providing technical support to our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Testing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a broad range of subsea, survey, and hydrographic equipment.
  • Ensuring all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated and packaged appropriately before delivery.
  • Interpreting and reading technical diagrams and manuals
  • Maintaining and completing work orders and customer records in Dynamics AX.
  • Carrying out electrical safety tests as required by regulations.
  • Documenting any missing/damaged equipment.
  • Adhering to the stock control system used for spares and consumables, reporting any shortages or issues to the Storeman.
  • Ensuring that test equipment used during measurement and calibration is within calibration.
  • Completing Customer records as required.
  • Completing export details as required.
  • Mentoring the team and demonstrating leadership in achieving the highest levels of customer service.
  • Supervising & Training designated Trainee/Workshop technicians
  • As a mentor, assess and sign off training & competency in Trainee Logbooks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Track record of experience in a Technician/Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment
  • Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
