Reservoir Engineer
Our client based in Aberdeenshire is currently recruiting for a Reservoir Engineer on a long-term contract basis.
ApplyKey Responsibilities
- Performs analysis of field and well production behaviour incorporating G&G understanding of the field in order to define the reservoir management strategy and to propose production optimising operations.
- Perform reservoir monitoring tasks in order to provide accurate near- and long-term forecasts. Issue monthly production guidelines (well potential derived from decline curve analysis).
- Perform Subsea Network optimization tasks using an Integrated Asset Model. Share findings with subsurface and development team.
- Present evaluations to Partner meetings, HQ peer reviews, UK authorities.
- Attend weekly meeting with field operations and monthly meeting with allocation team.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum BSc Hons Degree in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering (MSc preferred)
- Relevant experience in the oil industry including experience of reservoir monitoring activities on gas fields
- Experience in Integrated Asset Model (IAM) in terms of QC and optimization of network using Prosper/GAP/Resolve.
- Intersect (IX) software knowledge and/or experience in Wet Gas Subsea Network IAM will be a plus.
- Understanding of production allocation uncertainties and flow assurance issues in a multiphasic production environment.
- Fully autonomous in reservoir engineering techniques: numerical simulation, well test interpretation (Saphir software), material balance and PVT analysis.
- Ability to work within a team and having good communication skills.
