QHSE Coordinator

Our Client is looking to source a QHSE Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis, providing advice and guidance to the company and its managers on all QHSE matters.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of ISO 9001 and 45001 certified systems and an auditors’ qualification, along with experience in document management.
You will be self-motivated, articulate, persuasive in encouraging others to follow process and capable of working as part of an integrated team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general support of all QHSE activities, including Audits, document creation/ control and production of reports for management;
  • Help with continuous development of the management system;
  • Carry out audits and operational checks to ensure compliance with the company’s ISO9001/14001/45001 standards as per the audit and inspection schedules;
  • Identify and implement the processes and procedures required to ensure regulatory compliance and ensure the health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors;
  • Promote a culture of excellence through continuous improvement, to achieve company aims and objectives;
  • Both assist and lead inspections of workshop site activities during hazardous or challenging work situations;
  • Support the operations team with risk assessments and designing applicable risk mitigation measures;
  • Investigate the root cause of any QHSE complaints arising from staff, customers, clients or contractors and report the result to the management team;
  • Actively ensure that corrective actions are implemented and that certification requirements are complied with;
  • Investigate accidents and near misses – both coordinating and participating in these
  • Analyse the results of these investigations making corrective action recommendations
  • Actively ensure emergency response exercises are held regularly to maintain high level of preparedness within the company.
  • Maintain records of such exercises and provide recommendations for emergency response improvements.
  • Ensure that employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE inductions;

Education, Qualifications & Experience


  • Experience of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems,
  • Qualified Auditor,
  • Experience in the support of an effective Health & Safety culture in the workplace.


  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent),
  • IRCA approved Internal Auditor qualification,
  • Training and experience of SharePoint,
  • Experience in the conducting and support of Internal Audits.
