Occupational Health Coordinator

Our Client is looking for an Occupational Health Coordinator for a permanent position, located in Aberdeenshire.

The Occupational Health Co-ordinator is responsible for partnering with Offshore Resources and the Company medical team. The purpose of this role is to act as the functional line manager of the offshore medics while providing specialist knowledge to the planning, implementation and execution of the Company’s Fleet Policies, procedures and health plan

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and fosters a positive HSEQ culture throughout company.
  • Develops the Health Initiative section of the annual HR plan for the fleet
  • Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s health activities within the fleet
  • Acts as the company point of contact for COVID related matters
  • Ensures the implementation of and adherence to Management System, professional tools, policies, systems and processes
  • Liaise with the HR department, as appropriate with regard to crew health matters
  • Ensures compliance with GDPR and medical confidentiality requirements
  • Support and co-ordinate with the global medical team health initiatives, as appropriate
  • Responsible for the medical standards of the global fleet
  • Liaise with both internal and external insurance providers
  • Act as the technical authority for the offshore medic recruitment and selection
  • Act as functional line manager to the offshore medic with regard to medical matters
  • Responsible for health monitoring and audit protocols for the fleet
  • Responsible for the offshore hospital policies including procedures and offshore medical stores
  • Develops the role and responsibilities as the function matures within the organisation
  • Provides input to budget and is accountable for controlling costs and meeting budget within department
  • Develops a constructive and professional relationship with all stakeholders
  • Manages and actively participates in the annual review for the team and their direct reports


Education, Qualifications & Experience


  • Professional Nursing Qualification with current registration
  • Professional experience in offshore or remote working environment
  • Computer skills with interest in digitalisation


  • Experience in intensive care/acute nursing
  • Demonstrable knowledge of related offshore medical guidelines
