Our Client is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer (Mobile Equipment) for a permanent position, located in Westhill, Aberdeen.


Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the engineering integrity, compliance of all supporting technical information relating to Mobile Equipment.
  • To carry out all works in accordance with the current company procedures and instructions as well as relevant industry standards and guidance.
  • To manage the delivery of all certification and technical documentation, supported by relevant team members.
  • To ensure all engineering activity is promptly and accurately completed to support mobilisation target dates and maintenance schedules
  • To propose, review modify equipment (Asset) repair scopes of work in line with company procedures
  • To maintain good working knowledge of current procedures, industry standards, codes of practice and legislation applicable
  • To oversee the delivery of all certification activities as required.
  • To support the mobile equipment group asset information system.
  • To propose, review, modify maintenance and repair procedures.
  • To manage all technical deliverables in support of equipment delivery.
  • Undertake other duties as requested by the Mobile Equipment Manager
  • To motivate and manage direct reports as required to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring all relevant QA documentation is present and completed as required.
  • Ensure all certification and supporting documentation is produced and delivered as required by
    relevant superintendents.
  • To ensure all project technical queries are responded to and closed out as required.
  • Working with a wide variety of marine/subsea equipment

Education, Qualifications & Experience


  • Relevant Degree in Engineering OR┬áRelevant industry experience
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work as part of a team


  • Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status
