Global Contract Advisor
Our client is looking for a Global Contract Advisor for Subsurface and BD on a long-term contract, based in Aberdeen.
With guidance and support from line manager develop and implement sub-category strategy to efficiently support Subsurface function, holistically manage this spend sub-category from C&P perspective, which includes sourcing strategy, contract management, supplier relationship management, management of existing contract portfolio across company locations, spend analysis and related P2P process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Subsurface sub-category strategy
- Proactively engage with business and functional stakeholders to assess upcoming demands
- Analyse supplier market (company spend, spend trends, new technologies, new players, supplier M&As, multi-client surveys)
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy to support annual offshore licensing rounds and meet ongoing business demands
- Manage existing contract portfolio
- Develop and implement supplier relationship management models for key suppliers, e.g. PGS, TGS, WesternGeco, TGS, etc.
- Together with Subsurface and IT create a solution, which will enable effective tracking of company liabilities under existing seismic agreements (e.g. license uplifts)
- Support Business Development in M&A projects providing assessment of liability value, triggered by prospective acquisitions
- Ensure that related P2P activities are timely completed
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in contracts and procurement
- Knowledge of seismics sub-category (data acquisition, purchases, re/processing services)
- Familiarity with Change of Control provisions in Master License Agreements and their impact on Company application strategy for offshore licenses and M&A projects
- Category management experience is preferable
- Proven ability to communicate with different sets of stakeholder in geographically diverse environment
- Developed communication skills to present complicated issues in an understandable way and to influence others to ensure compliance.
- Flexible approach in achieving the ‘right’ balance between global frameworks and specific local business needs
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Fluent in English (oral and written) and any other European language (Norwegian, Dutch, German) would be preferable
