Finance Manager

Our Client is looking for a Finance Manager for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

Ongoing/Monthly

  • Producing monthly management accounts (consolidated to include UK, Norway, US and Saudi JV)
  • Producing rolling 13-week cash forecast
  • Managing company’s working capital/funding requirements
  • Managing the company’s bank accounts and relationship with bank
  • Manging relationship with key suppliers
  • Managing relationship with Norway based parent company on all matters accounting
  • Ensuring that the company complies with all HMRC requirements (VAT, PAYE/NI, Corporation Tax)
  • Ensuring compliance with other requirements e.g. pension legislation
  • Line Management of the Assistant Accountant
  • Responsibility for the Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll software
  • Other Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

Annual

  • Producing annual budget
  • Responsibility for production of annual statutory accounts
  • Managing year-end audit process and relationship with auditors
  • Managing year-end corporation tax process, including R&D tax credit claims
  • Responsibility for annual insurance renewals and managing the relationship with insurance broker

Overseas Entities

  • Involvement in accounting aspects of setting up JV in Saudi Arabia (working in conjunction with JV partner)
  • Manging the accounting function and financial reporting of the Saudi JV
  • Overseeing monthly management accounts and financial performance of US

The ideal Finance Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:

  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role within an SME.
  • Ideally experience of using Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll
  • Good Microsoft Excel Skills
