Our client is looking for a Cost Estimator for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.
The Cost Estimator is responsible for all financial aspects of a proposal during the preparation, submission and clarifications. The Cost Estimator reports to the Cost Estimating Manager and works under the supervision of a Tender Manager on any given proposal.

Our client is looking for a Cost Estimator for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.
Role:
The Cost Estimator is responsible for all financial aspects of a proposal during the preparation, submission and clarifications. The Cost Estimator reports to the Cost Estimating Manager and works under the supervision of a Tender Manager on any given proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of accurate and consistent cost estimates for proposals in compliance with the customer’s commercial requirements in the tender phase, including the attendance at all relevant meetings required and to ensure compliance with the Sales and Marketing process.
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining change management throughout the Sales and Marketing process (ITT receipt to project handover).
- Support the Sales and Marketing team post tender delivery, to ensure that internal and external feedback is addressed in a concise and accurate manner.
- Evaluate and/or understand all costing input and incorporate into cost estimates.
- Prepare all relevant commercial and financial documents relevant for management approval meetings.
- Prepare cashflow estimates and complete payment plans and pricing schedules for the work offered with the proposal.
- Assist Tender Lead while liasing with corporate departments during the preparation of a cost estimate (e.g. Tax, Treasury, Finance etc.)
- Assure correct hand-over of cost estimate to Projects once contract has been signed.
- Collaborate with other offices and work towards improving ways of working
- Assist in the maintenance of our database for cost estimates.
Requirements:
- A BSc degree in any relevant area (e.g Finance, Business Management, QS) with a significant focus on costs and financial topics.
- Previous relevant experience in a similar position
- Good proficiency in the English language.
- Able to plan work and keep accurate records.
- Understanding of estimating software(e.g. EcoSys) and willingness to develop skills
- Knowledge of the offshore industry and a keen interest in learning more about projects and our business in general.
